I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a wonderful couple this morning, Alissa and Cameron, at the UC Davis Arboretum. They were so much fun, and so in love! It was a delight to capture the strength of their connection and the joy they took in each other's company. Thank you both so much!

Last summer for George Street Photo & Video I shot a beautiful wedding up in the foothills at the Forest House Lodge in Forest Hill, California. It was sunny and beautiful and the bride and groom were glowing! Here's a handful of shots from that wedding, with more to follow soon.
Well, I'm finally catching up on some posts this year. Earlier this spring I had the pleasure of photographing the very adorable Lippman family at an Almond Grove just outside Davis. Though it was a bit foggy the blossoms (and the Lippmans) were beautiful! More from this shoot to come.
This past week I got together with one of my favorite families for some family and maternity portraits in the evening sunshine at one of Davis' many parks. I got some great smiles, and will be posting more shots soon of the newest member of the family!
Grace's Senior Portrait | The Redwood Grove @ the UC Davis Arboretum {Davis Portrait Photography}5/29/2017 This memorial weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Grace and her friend Nina at the UC Davis Arboretum. We made our backdrop the redwoods, and got some great shots under those blessedly shady trees. Congratulations and best wishes, Grace!
This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Denise and John in North Davis. It was a small backyard affair with a live swing band--The Smart Fellers, catering by Dos Coyotes, and a fabulous art-deco cake by Konditorei. The bride's flare-tastic dress was hand made by her daughter, and friends and family from as near as next door and as far away as Korea came to celebrate. It was really a special day, and I thank Denise and John for letting me be apart of it. Congratulations you two!
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Bayless family this morning at the UC Davis Arboretum. There was some heavy fog we had to wait out, but the fading remnants made for some really neat shots.
Dear readers,
I am writing today to share my story, of where I have been and where I am going; It is a long story, but one I feel worth sharing. Over the past two years I have taken a somewhat unwilling break from photography. From some of my past clients I've received queries about this, about why I suddenly moved out to California from Rhode Island, where I began Kirstin Bimson Photography. I didn't answer these questions with much detail, partly because I didn't really know what to say--the story was still in progress, and I wasn't exactly sure how I got to where I was. Now coming out the other side on this long journey, I'm ready to tell my story. I had the pleasure of photographing more of my good friend Toby today, this time outdoors in some gorgeous early-winter late-afternoon sunlight.
