THE PHOTOGRAPHY
I have had a camera in my hands since age ten, thanks to the magnificent discovery of a long-forgotten Minolta in the cupboard under the stairs. It's been a love affair ever since. As a photographer, I consider myself a 'generalist'. I photograph a little of everything: portraits, weddings, events, commercial, news and editorial, street photography, fine-art, the neighborhood stray cat... I learned early on that I enjoy too many different styles and subjects, enjoy experimenting with different mediums too much to "settle down" and limit myself solely to one genre. I have found that has given my work a wonderful versatility and breadth. I like that, and I hope you'll like that too. Outside of photography I'm also a visual artist, which has lent itself to my shooting style and perspective. I dabble in mixed-media, traditional, and digital art. My art photography and other works are occasionally displayed around Davis, and my landscape and fine-art photography can be found on my personal website. |
KIRSTIN
I'm a foodie with a mean sweet tooth. I'm a lover of black tea and Milano cookies. I have a soft spot for cinema, especially early cinema, art films, and excellent documentaries. In my spare time I like to knit, garden, and troll the thrift store for excellent vintage finds. The rural farmland outside of Davis is a frequent subject of my personal photographic musings, and when not capturing images I can be found at my desk writing poetry and short fiction. |
