Heron Rana
Alternatingly based in Davis, CA and Recife, Brazil, Heron is a saxophonist who records and produces authentic original music with jazz, folk, hip-hop, neo-soul, and Brazilian influences, with lyrics featuring feminist themes and a love for the earth. Her first album, Her First Time, was recorded at home during COVID lockdown, with a follow-up EP, In All Her Glory, released last year. I've had the privilege of a long-term relationship with Heron photographing multiple artist portraits as well as the cover of her EP.
Hannah Mayree
Hannah Mayree is a Sacramento, CA born singer-songwriter and music educator. Her music incorporates African rhythms and diverse European and American folk traditions. Appalachian banjo, guitar, flute, accordion, and mandolin cradle inspired vocal harmonies in her freshman release Thoughts of the Night. She is also an organizer of the Black Banjo Reclamation project.
Eliza Chantal
Sacramento area vocalist and performer, she sings R&B, Jazz, Funk, Broadway, Pop, and other diverse styles and is part of an eight piece band which plays throughout Sacramento, most recently on Good Morning Sacramento. She is releasing her first album, Speak Soft, in the first part of 2024.
