As we near the end of the year, I am beginning my 2025 website and pricing updates. You may see a few minor changes around the website, some photo updates, and some backdated photo shoot posts here on the blog I forgot to post earlier in the year. No major changes this year, though!

Currently updated and active on the website are the changes to photo shoot booking pages and pricing pages. No big changes: I removed the session-only option for Discount Sunday Sessions. The full-gallery package has by far been the most popular, dwarfing session-only bookings, so I opted to simplify things and offer only the full-gallery package for Discount Sundays going forward.

I've also altered the budget option for Basic sessions. Instead of being a session-only package, the budget package now includes a small set number of photos, with a very nominal $5 price increase; overall, an increase in value and a decrease in total price. Basic session full-gallery packages remain the same.

I've also added new shoot locations in Winters, and removed one Sacramento location - the Old Sacramento Waterfront, as it has proved to be an unpopular (and far too bustling) location this year.

Next on the docket is updating wedding photography pricing for 2025. I try and do this once a year or every two years, adjusting packages and pricing based on industry trends and client demand and budget. The overall pricing range will remain about the same, though I will be consolidating and streamlining packages to make the options more straightforward for prospective clients and better cater to the specific requests I've received this year. Hopefully I'll have those changes finalized and in-place by the end of December.

Last month I put out a notice on the front page that I would be doing updates and maintenance to the Kirstin Bimson Photography website through the end of May. Well, it looks like that maintenance will be extending through July! The current estimated date of completion is July 29th.

There should be minimal disruption to regular browsing and use of the website. Most of the changes and updates will be focused on structure and mobile optimization, as well as integration with my new client gallery hosting provider. However, if you do run into any issues, please let me know!

No restrictions. Kirstin Bimson Photography and any employees will wear a mask for the duration of any indoor shoots. Masking during outdoor shoots will be by client request only, or at the discretion of photographer(s) during seasonal case spikes.

April - October
Kirstin Bimson Photography and any employees will wear a mask during any indoor shooting segments. Masking during outdoor shoots will be by client request only, or at the discretion of photographer(s).

For weddings and events that include indoor coverage: A minimum 10x10 foot well-ventilated private outdoor space must be provided for photographer(s) to safely de-mask throughout the duration of shoot hours. Area must have shade and/or be covered.

November-March
Kirstin Bimson Photography will not be offering indoor wedding or event coverage during COVID/Cold/Flu season. Outdoor wedding or event coverage will continue to be offered.

As we get ready to jump into the second half of 2022, please note the following changes to Kirstin Bimson Photography's COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines:

Location: Outdoor only--no exceptions
Wedding size: No restrictions
Indoor portraits: Available for couple portraits only. Couple must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (2 shots for Pfizer/Moderna, 1 for J&J)
Masking: Not required by guests or wedding party
Special requirements: Open, well-ventilated private outdoor area must be provided for photographer(s) to eat and/or de-mask as needed.

Location: Outdoor only--no exceptions
Event size: No restrictions
Masking: Not required by event participants/guests

For all shoot types, Kirstin and any associate photographers will wear a KN95/N95 face mask throughout shooting hours, regardless of client vaccination status. Kirstin also receives regular COVID-19 testing. Test results and proof of vaccination status are available upon request to clients.

Exciting news--just as the headline states, It's finally happened! While the second shot was a doozy, I am so grateful to finally be fully vaccinated. This, obviously, has some exciting implications for my photography work as well which I had largely put aside for much of the pandemic.

Thus, I am happy to announce that Kirstin Bimson Photography will now be accepting fully-outdoor weddings for the summer and fall of 2021! As I have for the past 6 months or so, I will continue to accept socially distanced outdoor photo shoots for families, individuals, pets, and seniors. Standard precautions will apply (mask, social distance), but I'm excited to get back to work.

Kirstin Bimson Photography has moved out of Rhode Island and will no longer be serving the Southern New England Area.

Starting August 1st, Kirstin Bimson Photo will begin accepting portrait session and event/wedding photography consultations for the Northern California area, including the Bay area and the Greater Sacramento area.
